Geography is the study of the Earth. It explores the natural
processes that occur on the planet over time as well as the relationship
between the Earth and its inhabitants. Geography also tells the changes that
happen on the Earth over time and provides clarity on things that are
constantly taking place in our surroundings. Geography can also be about natural
disasters and studies the reason for their occurrence, their effects and the
ways to solve them.
WHY DO WE STUDY GEOGRAPHY?
We study Geography so that we are able to understand the Earth better. By studying Geography, we are more aware of the changes that are constantly taking place. We are also able to understand the relationship between humans and Earth and the effects that this relationship can have on one another. With this understanding, we will also be more aware of our actions and how it can directly impact our planet both in the short run and the long run. Beside that, we also learn how to manage Natural Disaster through learning of geography.
